I believe it’s because the devil has succeeded to have society devalue the family in our eyes. He has lifted up career success and materialism, propagated lies about equality and women rights, while shaping society in such a way to make it unattractive and almost even impossible to follow the Biblical model for the wife to be the homemaker. Look at our world… is it working? Are women happier? Are families healthier? Are marriages more successful? When the world promotes something different than the one who created the family, why are we so afraid to choose God’s way? Families matter. Wives matter. Resist the pressure of the world, unlearn the lies, and enjoy the fruit of walking in Gods calling for your life.
